Dear friends,
On behalf of the XIX Jornada de Virologia / Virology Meeting 2020 (Societat Catalana de Biologia, SCB) Organizing Committee, it is a great pleasure to announce our annual meeting. Due to the current COVID19 pandemic, this year the meeting will be online. However, this will give us the opportunity to count with the participation of excellent scientists worldwide.
New to this year’s meeting, the Virology Meeting 2020 (SCB) will be co-organized with the 2nd Research Symposium on Coronavirus. The first Research Symposium on Coronavirus organized by SCB was held on 6th May, 2020 with more than 500 participants. The joined events will allow to share the advances in SARS-CoV2 and other relevant viruses research, gathering scientists from different centers and disciplines.
The meeting will take place on Thursday, October 29th, 2020, with an opening lecture by Dr. Luis Enjuanes (CNB-CSIC), internationally recognized expert in coronavirus research. The meeting will also count with other excellent invited speakers such as Dr. Júlia Vergara-Alert (IRTA-CReSA), Dr. Stefan Pölhmann (University of Göttingen, German Primate Center), Dr. Miguel Ángel Jiménez-Clavero (CISA-INIA), Dr. Juana María Díez (UPF) and Dr. James M. Pipas (University of Pittsburgh). We encourage you all to participate in this exceptional meeting, which we are sure that you will really enjoy.
