Publicly available database of over 100,000 top-scientists that provides standardized information on citations, h-index, co-authorship adjusted hm-index, citations to papers in different authorship positions and a composite indicator. This version is based on the Aug 01, 2021 snapshot from Scopus and is updated to citation year 2020.

Prepared by the EPO and the European Space Policy Institute (ESPI) in collaboration with the European Space Agency (ESA), this report provides insights into the patenting activities for quantum technologies specifically as they relate to the space sector. These technologies are primarily used in secure communications, in time and frequency transfer, as well as in Earth observation and sensing. This report considers three key quantum technologies that enable these main application areas.

This checklist is a guide for universities that wish to further develop their Open Access activities. In recent years, the scholarly publishing system has become much more complex and dynamic. The Open Access landscape has also changed dramatically. Universities, researchers, research funders and national consortia have all taken important steps in the transition towards Open Access, but the reality is still that full Open Access is far from being a ubiquitous reality.

The report looks at how “enabling” institutions (research centers, consultants, accelerators, etc.) are increasingly key in successful corporate venturing. Enablers help established companies join forces with startups, offering distinct advantages from independent knowledge to opportunity deal-flow, cost de-risking and network effects. This report is based on a literature review, analysis of 108 examples and 95 interviews with chief innovation officers -and those with related roles- located in Asia, North and South America and Europe.

The 2021 PREDICT Key Facts Report provides a detailed analysis of the state of ICT R&D activities in the European Union (EU27) and 13 further economies worldwide. The report covers the period between 1995 and 2018, providing a long-term analysis of the EU ICT sector and its R&D, covering a whole cycle from the initial expansion years to the double recession that began in early 2008, and the most recent evolution up to 2018.

Smart specialisation was introduced under Cohesion Policy in the 2014- 2020 programming period and sought to ensure the prioritisation of funding in areas where territories could have a competitive advantage. The EU Renewed Agenda for Higher Education recognised that higher education institutions (HEIs) should engage in the development of their regions and cities, integrating local, regional and societal issues into their curricula, cooperating with businesses, involving the local community in teaching, research and lifelong learning but also building links with the local community and contributing to regional development.

The "Performance Ranking of Scientific Papers for World Universities" is released by National Taiwan University, and is also known as NTU Ranking. NTU Ranking provides overall ranking, rankings by six fields, and rankings by 27 selected subjects. This ranking system employs bibliometric methods to analyze and rank the scientific paper performances of the world’s top 800 universities. This ranking system evaluates the performances of the scientific papers of universities, and the indicators were designed to compare both the quality and the quantity of scientific papers in each university.

OpenCitations is an independent not-for-profit infrastructure organization for open scholarship dedicated to the publication of open bibliographic and citation data by the use of Semantic Web (Linked Data) technologies. It is also engaged in advocacy for open citations, particularly in its role as a key founding member of the Initiative for Open Citations (I4OC).

These institutions from the U.S. and more than 80 other countries have been ranked based on 13 indicators that measure their academic research performance and their global and regional reputations. Students can use these rankings to explore the higher education options that exist beyond their own countries' borders and to compare key aspects of schools' research missions. These are the world's nearly 1,750 top universities.
