Durant l’actual crisi internacional que vivim amb la pandèmia del Covid-19 us donem accés a un complet butlletí amb un recull d’informacions i recursos que us aporta una completa i actualitzada visió de l’estat de la recerca i l’evolució constant de la pandèmia.

L'objecte d'aquestes bases és regular l'atorgament d'ajuts a la contractació de persones investigadores per a desenvolupar projectes de recerca aplicada orientats a la transferència tecnològica (Tecniospring INDUSTRY). La contractació de la persona investigadora anirà lligada a un projecte de mobilitat de 24 mesos de durada per tal de potenciar la seva carrera investigadora en el seu àmbit d'expertesa.

Barcelona es consolida com a pol de talent digital amb més de 77.000 professionals treballant en l'ecosistema tecnològic, 9.600 persones més que l'any passat. L'increment del nombre de titulats en l'últim any, l'atracció de professionals d'altres economies i la diversitat de la tipologia d'empreses que busquen perfils digitals amb sous més competitius han afavorit el posicionament de la ciutat com hub de talent digital.

Europe has always supported robust virology research. This is already helping in the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic, and it will be essential if we want to tackle other current viral challenges and potential new ones in the future. In this Results Pack, we meet a number of innovative EU-funded projects that are making contributions not only to the battle against SARS-CoV-2 but also to the wider virology field that will improve our overall understanding of viruses, as well as our ability to create even more effective antiviral treatments and vaccines.

The European innovation scoreboard provides a comparative analysis of innovation performance in EU countries, other European countries, and regional neighbours. It assesses relative strengths and weaknesses of national innovation systems and helps countries identify areas they need to address. The 2020 edition of the innovation scoreboard highlights that the EU's innovation performance continues to increase at a steady pace, with growing convergence between EU countries. On average, the innovation performance of the EU has increased by 8.9% since 2012. Performance increased in 24 EU countries since 2012, with the biggest increases in Lithuania, Malta, Latvia, Portugal and Greece.

The need for strong universities has never been greater in addressing societal challenges. The Covid-19 pandemic, climate change, resource scarcity, ageing populations, migration and managing artificial intelligence are among the many examples of areas where universities have a major impact. The need for bold, cohesive, collective action across European universities is unprecedented. EUA has a key role to play as the major forum for pan-European university decision making, as a platform for sharing university institutional best practices, and as the voice of the sector in influencing public policy and opinion. In this new strategic plan, EUA presents an outline of its vision, values, goals, priorities and working methods. This document was produced through extensive consultation with members, external stakeholders and staff. It will inform the development of annual operational plans that will set out concrete actions and ensure relevance in the face of rapidly changing circumstances.

Digitalisation is shaping and even transforming both the location and nature of entrepreneurial opportunities in the economy and the practices to pursue them. In order to help maximise the productivity potential of the digitally enhanced entrepreneurial dynamic in countries, policymakers need to understand the state of their countries' digital framework conditions for entrepreneurship. The European Index of Digital Entrepreneurship Systems (EIDES) addresses this gap by monitoring digital framework and systemic conditions for entrepreneurial stand-up, start-up, and scale-up in the EU27 countries and the United Kingdom. This is the third edition of the EIDES. It provides an assessment of framework conditions for digital start-ups and scale-ups in European countries in 2020 and analyses their evolution in the period between 2018 and 2020.

El pasado 17 de junio la Oficina Española de Patentes y Marcas, O.A. (OEPM) celebró dos jornadas de manera virtual sobre la Ley de Patentes 24/2015: una con las Plataformas Tecnológicas Españolas y otra con las Oficinas de Transferencia de Resultados de Investigación, OTRIs. El objetivo de las mismas fue enmarcar la Ley mencionada como una herramienta eficaz para la protección de la Innovación.

First published in 2012, the QS Top 50 Under 50 ranks the best universities in the world which are under 50 years old, allowing some of the world's top young universities to shine. Since 2015, it has tripled its range to include the Next 100 Under 50. Unlike other university rankings, the Top 50 Under 50 and the Next 100 Under 50 see a vast amount of change each year, as universities drop out of the list after they pass the 50-year marker. So, if you can't find an institution in this year's list, it might be because it's now older than 50 years.

Startup Genome has nearly doubled the number of ecosystems studied since 2019 — assessing over 270 ecosystems across over 100 countries to rank the top 30 globally and runners-up.

The Times Higher Education Young University Rankings list the world’s best universities that are 50 years old or younger. The 2020 ranking includes 414 universities, up from 351 in 2019. The table is based on the same 13 performance indicators as the flagship THE World University Rankings, but the weightings have been adjusted to give less weight to reputation.
