Si mirem enrere, comprovem que hi ha una gran diferència en com es relacionava la col·laboració amb la innovació en tan sols deu anys. Avui han deixat de ser dos conceptes separats per esdevenir una realitat cada cop més integrada. En aquest article, parlarem d’innovació oberta i de l’escenari en què es desenvolupa. Explorarem els models de col·laboració existents a Catalunya i les estratègies que utilitzen les empreses per innovar i ser competitives. També analitzarem el pes i la naturalesa de la col·laboració empresarial amb els agents del sistema català de recerca, així com el paper creixent de les start-ups com a element clau per a la dinamització de la innovació empresarial.

This document was developed by the European Research Area Forum Subgroup on Inclusive Gender Equality in the European Research Area, in close cooperation with the European Commission, with the aim to provide guidance to national authorities and research and innovation funding organisations on policy measures to ensure the effective implementation and evaluation of the integration of the gender dimension into research and innovation content from an intersectional perspective.

For its new mandate, the European Commission has put innovation and its commercial development at the heart of enhancing European Union competitiveness. The priority builds on the Draghi and Letta recommendations emphasising the need to boost the EU's competitiveness to ensure its long-term sustainability and prosperity. For this purpose, the Commission also aims to revisit the EU's innovation funding programmes to improve their effectiveness and attract additional private investment in innovation and development, which lags behind global partners such as the US, Japan and South Korea.

The "Trust in Science for Policy Nexus" workshop, held in Ispra, Italy, on September 12-13, 2024, convened by the European Commission's Joint Research Centre, the International Science Council, and co-sponsored by the US National Science Foundation, explored the intricate dynamics of trust in science as it relates to policymaking. This workshop addressed the challenges and strategies for fostering trust among scientists, policymakers, and the public, particularly in the context of disinformation and the current political situation.

The project ‘Building capacity for evidence-informed policymaking in governance and public administration in a post-pandemic Europe’ was inspired by the need of Member States to respond to complex policy issues requiring specialised knowledge, such as the COVID-19 pandemic. This project provides lessons that are helpful for the continuation of this mission. These are presented in this publication, followed by a future agenda for evidence-informed policymaking.

Mission portfolio management is a critical ingredient in the success of mission-oriented innovation policies. This practice aims at ensuring that a consistent and tailor-made set of diverse projects and activities contribute together to the realisation of the mission objectives. It is essential for generating the systemic impacts that missions aim to deliver. However, many missions currently lack the necessary skills, resources, and tools to implement portfolio management effectively. Traditional innovation portfolio management practices offer limited applicability to missions. Moreover, mission portfolio management requires flexible and adaptive processes to ensure its effectiveness, which often conflict with the rigid structures and practices typical of public administration. This paper introduces actionable guidance for the development, management, and monitoring of mission portfolios. It also provides targeted recommendations for adopting mission portfolio management in a purposive and dynamic manner.

Este informe, enmarcado en el objetivo de monitorización de la ciencia abierta de la Línea 2 de REBIUN para el año 2024, presenta la Medición del Acceso Abierto en las universidades españolas y el CSIC del periodo 2019-2023. Los datos muestran un crecimiento importante del porcentaje de artículos en acceso abierto: del 75,6% (77.731 publicaciones) en el año 2022 se pasó al 80% (82.413 publicaciones) en 2023. En estos datos están incluidos los artículos que se publican en acceso abierto en revistas o se encuentran depositados en repositorios institucionales. Como en el estudio anterior, publicado en 2023, se usan los datos extraídos de OpenAlex a partir del identificador de cada universidad y de los centros del Consejo Superior de Investigaciones Científicas (CSIC).
