El sector de la bioenergia fa referència a una font d’energia renovable produïda a partir de materials biològics i a tot el seu procés: des de l’obtenció del recurs fins a la seva valorització energètica i recuperació dels residus. La bioenergia a Catalunya aglutina 365 empreses que facturen de manera conjunta 872 milions d'euros i ocupen 2.650 persones.

This report provides an overview of the EU's key research and innovation (R&I) activities and monitoring of Horizon Europe and the Euratom Research and Training Programme in 2024.

This EU-level report is the second 18-months review of the progress towards the priority areas for joint action in the European Research Area (ERA), as laid down in the Pact for Research and Innovation in Europe, and of the implementation of the ERA Policy Agenda. It covers the period from July 2023 and December 2024. It is part of the ERA Monitoring Mechanism (EMM), which also includes the ERA Policy Platform, the ERA Dashboard and ERA Scoreboard as well as ERA Country Reports. In the context of the renewal of the ERA governance since 2021, the monitoring will allow for evidence-informed policy-making.

Executive summary

Artificial Intelligence (AI) promises to accelerate the pace of scientific discovery and revolutionise how we uncover and use new knowledge. Future AI systems will become ever more powerful and accessible. To stay competitive, Europe must act: AI in science needs strategic, coordinated policies. Eleven countries joined the Mutual Learning Exercise (MLE) to share experiences and identify key levers across funding, infrastructure, and talent. The MLE highlighted the need for adaptive, long-term policy frameworks that combine top-down investment with bottom-up experimentation. Human and technical infrastructure, ethical governance, and open, FAIR data are needed to enable responsible, widespread adoption of AI in scientific research. The resulting recommendations offer a flexible policy menu tailored to different stages of AI maturity in science.

Este informe analiza la denominada identidad STEM de los jóvenes escolarizados en 3º y 4º de ESO y Bachillerato y trazar un mapa de sus filias y fobias, de los factores externos que influyen en su aprendizaje de las STEM, además de comparar las preferencias y el rendimiento de ambos géneros.

El informe permite clasificar a las comunidades autónomas españolas en cinco grupos según su evolución combinada en productividad de la innovación y convergencia hacia la frontera europea. En términos generales, 11 de las 17 comunidades mejoran en productividad, pero tan solo 4 logran también avanzar en convergencia.
