This report scopes the issue of the reproducibility of scientific results, based on a field review and on an expert seminar on the opportunity of policy action in Europe. As such, it aims to increase the European Commission’s understanding of the lack of reproducibility in Europe, and help design a suitable response in the context of EU Research & Innovation. 

This Final Report of the Mutual Learning Exercise on ‘National Strategies and Roadmaps for International Cooperation in R&I’ summarises findings from the workshops, discussions and thematic input papers produced during this exercise. The report reflects the main threads of an intense policy exchange on the various national approaches towards international cooperation in research and innovation and highlights identified sustained challenges and new or upcoming developments. Based on shared concerns, promising approaches and inspiring practices, conclusions are drawn, and recommendations are formulated to enhance the effectiveness of international R&I cooperation strategies, roadmaps and activities of the EU and its Member States.

With the European Green Deal, the European Commission aims for the EU to be completely carbon-neutral by 2050. This is an enormous ambition, and innovative frontier research supported by the European Research Council (ERC) will play a vital role in powering forward the cutting-edge research and technological development needed to achieve it. This CORDIS Results Pack highlights 15 ERC-funded projects that are playing their part in helping to achieve Europe’s green and sustainable future.

This study is based on a survey of European universities and PROs that have filed patent applications with the European Patent Office (EPO) between 2007 and 2018. It provides detailed information on their patented inventions, commercialisation patterns, and the challenges faced by research institutions in bringing them to market.

The process to renew the European Research Area (ERA) is gathering pace and is set to continue in the coming weeks, months and years. Building on previous policy positions, this policy input further expands EUA’s views on the new ERA and focuses on the topics that are most important to universities. It will be of particular interest to the European Commission, Parliament and EU member states, as well as representative bodies of other R&I stakeholders.

Informe elaborado por FECYT que se publica anualmente y que ofrece información sintetizada sobre el estado del Sistema Español de Ciencia, Tecnología e Innovación y su evolución más reciente. Este Informe recoge también el creciente proceso de regionalización de las actividades de I+D+I, ofreciendo información sobre el esfuerzo realizado por las distintas comunidades autónomas. Aporta, por último, datos sobre la posición de España en el contexto de la Unión Europea, América Latina y de los países de la OCDE, y sobre la participación española en los distintos programas internacionales de I+D.​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​​

The tenth report from the Institute for Scientific Information (ISI) released ahead of the G20 Summit, includes both a written summary and a host of graphs and exhibits that highlight the research performance of the 19 leading countries including EU as an additional 20th member. It also consists of a special analysis of the G20 members’ contribution to recent COVID-19 research as indexed in the Web of Science research publication and citation index.
